About our role

Carinity Education Gladstoneis seeking passionate Youth Workers – Student Wellbeing to join ourdedicated team. You will play a vital role in supporting students’social and emotional wellbeing so they can thrive in theireducation in collaboration with classroom teachers.

Your day-to-day will involve

• Build positive, supportive relationships with students,acting as a role model and mentor behaviour support, followingtherapeutic frameworks
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, andexternal agencies to remove barriers to learning
• Engage in student wellbeing activities, lunchtime groups,excursions, and community participation
• Assist with administrative tasks, case notes, and reportingrequirements
• Drive the school bus (LR licence required or willingness toobtain)

About you

You’re amotivated and caring professional who thrives in a supportive teamenvironment and is passionate about making a difference in thelives of young people. You are adaptable, empathetic, and bring acalm and positive presence that helps students feel safe,respected, and supported.

In addition,

• Certificate IV in Youth Work, Teacher Aide, EducationSupport, or similar
• Experience supporting marginalised young people ineducation or wellbeing roles
• Ability to build rapport with youth and support pain-basedbehaviours
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engagewith students, staff, and families
• Current Blue Card, driver’s licence (LR), Senior First AidCertificate
